1. Decreased heat transfer efficiency
Symptoms: Excessive moisture content in the dried material, abnormally high energy consumption.
Causes: Insufficient steam pressure, paddle scaling, malfunctioning steam trap.
Solutions: Increase steam pressure, clean scaling, replace steam trap.
2. Poor material conveying
Symptoms: Material accumulates inside the drum or the outlet is blocked.
Causes: Excessive feed rate, excessive rotation speed, insufficient temperature.
Solutions: Adjust feed rate, reduce rotation speed, increase temperature.
3. Abnormal noise/vibration
Symptoms: Metallic friction sound inside the drum, excessive motor vibration.
Causes: Shaft wear, insufficient bearing clearance, loose nuts.
Solutions: Check shaft wear, adjust bearing clearance, tighten nuts.
4. Rotary Joint Leakage
Symptoms: Leakage is caused by aging or improper installation of the sealing ring.
Solution: Replace the sealing ring and reinstall.
