How to operate and maintain a paddle dryer?

Operating Procedures
1. Pre-start Inspection: Confirm the equipment is securely installed, lubricating oil is sufficient, the paddle shaft does not rub against the cylinder wall, and the feed inlet is unobstructed.

2. Start-up Procedure: Perform a no-load test to ensure the paddle rotation direction is correct and there is no abnormal vibration.

Slowly introduce steam (for at least 30 minutes), ensuring the pressure does not exceed the rated value.

Avoid hard debris when feeding. For continuous operation, control the current to ≤70% of the rated value.

3. Shutdown Procedure: First, stop feeding, close the heating medium valve, and after the material has been discharged, turn off the motor and fan.

Maintenance Points
1. Daily Cleaning: Regularly clean residual material to prevent blockage and corrosion.

2. Key Inspections:
Sealing: Prevent material leakage.

Shaft Wear: Check bearing clearance and nut tightness to avoid friction causing shaft wear.

3. Lubrication Management: Use appropriate lubricating oil to ensure smooth operation of transmission components. Safety Precautions

1. Wear protective equipment during operation and avoid contact with high-temperature components.

2. The heat transfer oil system must be equipped with fire-fighting equipment. It is strictly forbidden to directly add cold media to a hot system.

3. When shaft wear is detected, online repair using polymer materials should be prioritized to avoid the deformation risks associated with traditional welding repairs.
