A steam tube dryer is an indirect dryer that uses steam as a heating medium to dry the material. It transfers heat through a series of tubes, usually made of metal, through which the steam circulates. These tubes are surrounded by the material to be dried, and the heat from the steam is transferred to the material, causing the water to evaporate. Steam tube dryers are often used in industries such as food processing, chemical manufacturing, and biomass drying that require precise and gentle drying.

The steam tube dryer is an indirect heating dryer that uses a steam tube heated by steam as a heat source and is set in a rotating shell.

The steam is introduced into the header through a rotary joint and then distributed to the pipes. The header is also equipped with a condensate discharge pipe to quickly discharge the formed condensate. The material to be dried is fed into the screw feeder through a chute and then enters the steam tube dryer. The material then comes into contact with the steam tube while passing through the steam tube dryer and is finally discharged from the discharge head.

The carrier gas flows in the steam tube dryer along with the evaporated water and is finally discharged from the steam tube dryer.
