I. Repairing Clogging Issues
1. Feed inlet/underflow outlet clogging: Close the feed valve of the malfunctioning cyclone, remove the clogged component, manually clear out starch clumps and debris, then reassemble and test-run the unit.
2. System-wide pipeline clogging: After shutting down, circulate a 5%–10% dilute acid solution to dissolve the hardened starch scale layer; once flushing is complete, flush with fresh water until neutral pH is reached, then resume normal operation.
II. Repairing Wear-Related Issues
1. Underflow/overflow outlet wear: Check the component aperture with a plug gauge; if wear exceeds the original diameter by 0.2 mm, replace the part with a new, wear-resistant component of the same specifications to restore separation precision.
2. Cyclone tube inner wall wear/rupture: Remove the defective cyclone tube and clean it with dilute acid and fresh water; replace tubes with excessive wear with new ones, and recalibrate equipment concentricity after reassembly.
III. Repairing Operational Parameter Anomalies
1. Significant feed pressure fluctuations: If caused by insufficient pump tank levels, replenish the liquid or shut down 1–2 standby cyclone groups; if caused by pump clogging or wear, disassemble and inspect the pump to clear debris or replace worn parts.
2. Substandard separation efficiency: First, calibrate feed pressure to the standard range of 0.10–0.15 MPa; adjust the underflow outlet size and add fresh water to regulate the starch slurry concentration; gradually fine-tune the system until the underflow discharges in a normal umbrella-like spray pattern.
IV. Repairing Seal Leakage
Leakage at flanges/valves: Tighten the hex socket bolts at the top of the valve body using moderate force to avoid jamming the gate; if the seal ring is aged or deformed, replace it with a new O-ring of the same specifications and tighten the cover evenly to restore the seal.
