I. Essential Pre-shift Checks
1. Feed System: Check feed pipes and valves for obstructions, damage, or leaks; clear any caked material from the pipes; ensure feed pressure remains stable within the rated range.
2. Core Components: Inspect the cyclone chamber and conical section for wear or leaks; clear residual material from the overflow pipe and underflow outlet; verify that the underflow valve adjusts smoothly without sticking.
3. Structural Integrity: Ensure the equipment support is secure and anchor bolts are tight (no loosening or shifting) to prevent abnormal vibration during operation.
II. Operational Monitoring Points
1. Pressure Control: Monitor inlet and outlet pressures in real-time; maintain a stable pressure differential to prevent significant fluctuations that could affect separation accuracy.
2. Parameter Recording: Periodically record operating pressures and material concentrations at each stage; promptly investigate abnormal conditions to minimize unnecessary downtime for cleaning.
3. Clog Prevention: Regularly clean the upstream feed strainer to catch large foreign objects and prevent hard particles from entering the cyclone tube, which could cause wear or blockages.
III. Periodic In-depth Maintenance
1. Wear Inspection: Use specialized plug gauges to check the feed, overflow, and underflow orifices of the cyclone tubes; promptly replace any tubes where orifice diameters exceed limits.
2. Thorough Cleaning: When disassembling and cleaning cyclone tubes, soak them in a 5% alkaline solution for 1–2 hours; use a nylon brush or cleaning probe to remove scale; strictly avoid using stiff iron wire, which could damage the orifices.
3. Seal Maintenance: Clean and properly store O-rings; ensure correct positioning during assembly and apply moderate clamping force to the cover to prevent seal failure or damage to the O-rings.
IV. Special Requirements for Shutdown Maintenance
1. Thoroughly flush the entire system after shutdown until clear water flows out; this prevents residual starch from drying and caking, which could block the orifices.
2. During long-term shutdowns, keep the system filled with clean water to maintain moisture in the nylon cyclone tubes, preventing shrinkage or deformation that could affect their service life.

3. In the event of an emergency shutdown, such as a sudden power failure, immediately open all drain valves to prevent material from settling, solidifying, and clogging the pipelines.
