How to reduce the heat loss of sludge drying

As a kind of equipment for processing a large amount of materials, the sludge dryer has the characteristics of high working efficiency and large output. During sludge dewatering and drying, losses occur in many places, which requires us to find solutions for different causes of losses. For example, a sludge dryer is a large piece of equipment that operates continuously and is prone to overheating during long-term operation. At this time, using water for cooling is a common way, in order to save costs and prevent waste of resources, we can reuse cooling water.

The sludge dryer is realized by heat transfer. In this process, if the thermal energy utilization rate is high, the work efficiency and output will increase accordingly. On the contrary, if the thermal efficiency is low, not only the drying efficiency is greatly affected, but also a lot of resources are wasted. Therefore, it is an important way to reduce the cost of sludge drying by setting a reasonable lifting plate in the sludge dryer to do a good job of insulating the equipment barrel to prevent heat loss.

In order to reduce the cost of sludge drying, we also need to control the moisture of the material to be dried. Only when the material is within the specified humidity range, can the drying efficiency and quality be better guaranteed, thereby reducing the drying loss and cost of sludge.

If the insulation work is feasible, the heat loss of the sludge dryer will be kept at around 5%. Hence the importance of thermal insulation can be seen. For some users of sludge dryers, they think it is better to cover the sludge dryer with an insulating layer. Actually, covering the sludge dryer with an insulating layer is only one aspect.

On the other hand, the good temperature of the insulating layer should be determined. In general, you should equip your sludge dryer with tandem supply fans and induced draft fans. By doing this, you can make the entire drying system work at zero pressure. In order to improve thermal efficiency and avoid heat loss, the leakage of heating medium or the entry of external air into the cylinder should be prevented.

With the strong demand for clean environment and sustainable development, sludge dryers will become more and more energy efficient.
