1. By noise and vibration:
Abnormal noise: Metallic friction, impact sounds, or high-frequency whistling during operation may be caused by bearing wear, loose parts, or cavitation in the hydraulic system.
Abnormal vibration: Severe vibration may be caused by internal blockage, rotor imbalance, or aging seals. A comprehensive assessment based on sound is necessary.
2. By odor:
Burning smell: Short circuits in electrical components or aging insulation may cause an odor; immediate shutdown and inspection are required.
Rotten smell: Fermented starch residue may produce an odor, indicating the need for internal cleaning.
3. By inlet and outlet water conditions:
Poor water flow: Blockage at the inlet or filter will reduce flow rate, resulting in cloudy or impurity-containing effluent.
Abnormal water quality: The presence of starch particles or grease in the effluent indicates reduced separation efficiency.
4. By unobstructed sludge and oil discharge:
Clogged sludge discharge: Accumulated starch residue at the discharge port will reduce separation efficiency; regular cleaning is required. Poor oil drainage: An excessively thick grease layer or a malfunctioning drain valve can cause oil and water mixing. Check the valves and pipes.
5. Judging by the condition of the filter screen and seals:
Filter screen blockage: Visually inspect the filter screen for a layer of starch gelatinized material, which affects filtration efficiency.
Aging seals: Check the sealing rings for deformation or leakage to prevent liquid leakage or air ingress.
