1. By noise: During normal operation, the noise level should be stable. A harsh, rhythmic knocking sound, or a hissing/venting noise may indicate bearing wear, internal leakage, or pump cavitation. Immediate shutdown and inspection are necessary.
2. By vibration: Increased equipment vibration may be due to loose or unbalanced internal parts or poor liquid flow. Check the fasteners and transmission system.
3. By odor: A burnt smell suggests an electrical fault. A putrid smell may be due to fermented starch residue. Clean the internal components or check the seals.
4. By water flow: Poor water flow or cloudy effluent may be due to clogged filters or decreased pump efficiency. Clean or replace the filters.
5. By sludge and oil discharge: Clogged sludge discharge ports or reduced oil discharge require cleaning residue and checking valves and pipes.
6. By filter and seal condition: A gelatinized filter or aged seals can cause leaks. Replace the filters regularly and check the seals.
