1. Observe appearance and operating status
Appearance inspection: Regularly check the paddle surface for large pieces of sludge or obvious scale layers. Severe scaling will form hard deposits on the paddle surface, affecting mixing efficiency.
Operating abnormalities: If the dryer motor current signal is abnormal, the moisture content of the discharged sludge is unstable, or the drying efficiency decreases, it may be due to scale obstructing heat conduction.
2. Temperature and pressure monitoring:
Temperature differences: Scale can cause localized temperature increases on the paddles. Hot spots can be detected using an infrared thermal imager.
Pressure changes: Increased inlet and outlet pressure difference or poor condensate drainage may be due to scale clogging the pipes.
3. Professional testing methods:
Ultrasonic testing: Determines scale thickness by reflecting sound waves. Suitable for concealed areas.
Disassembly and inspection confirmation: Directly observe the scale buildup on the paddles after shutdown and clean if necessary.
4. Prevention and maintenance:
Regular cleaning: Clean the paddles according to specifications to prevent scale accumulation. Parameter control: Maintain stable steam temperature and prevent material adhesion.
