If the cyclone experiences severe vibration, a sudden decrease in overflow/underflow flow, or a halt in underflow, this may be due to blockage or component wear. Immediately inspect the feed inlet, underflow nozzle, and liner for wear.
Abnormal underflow discharge (such as a columnar rather than umbrella-shaped discharge) or fluctuating concentrations indicate reduced separation performance, requiring parameter adjustment or replacement of the underflow nozzle.
2. Performance parameter deviation
Monitor parameters such as feed pressure and flow. If they consistently deviate from the optimal operating range, it may be necessary to clean out deposits or replace worn parts.
If classification capacity is insufficient or there are abnormal oversize, check the feed size, underflow nozzle wear, and the condition of wearable parts.
3. Signs of wear and corrosion
Regularly inspect components such as the liner and valve seat. If severe wear or corrosion (such as metal flaking or cracking) is observed, major maintenance or material replacement is required.
Increased metal particles or excessive moisture in oil analysis indicate increased internal wear. 4. Maintenance Cycle and Fault History
Under high-frequency use or harsh environments (such as highly corrosive media), maintenance cycles should be shortened, with minor repairs every 3-6 months and major repairs every 12-18 months.
If the cyclone has a history of frequent blockages or vibration problems, deep maintenance should be scheduled in advance.
Typical Steps for Deep Maintenance
1. Disassembly Inspection: Clean internal deposits, replace worn linings, underflow nozzles, and other components, and verify rotor dynamic balancing.
2. System Calibration: Adjust feed pressure and flow parameters, and repair seal leaks.
3. Preventive Replacement: Replace wearing parts (such as bearings and seals) in advance according to manufacturer recommendations or historical data.
