1. Abnormal Vibration
Cause: Empty suction, excessive material volume, linear discharge at the inlet, or deformed overflow pipe.
Solution:
Use an air intake pipe during empty suction;
Adjust the feed rate or cyclone parameters;
Control the inlet pressure;
Replace a deformed overflow pipe.
2. Low Underflow Density
Cause: Incorrect discharge nozzle size, damaged overflow pipe, or abnormal feed concentration.
Solution:
Check and replace the discharge nozzle with an appropriate size;
Clean or replace the overflow pipe;
Adjust the feed concentration.
3. Coarse Overflow (Excessively Large Particles)
Cause: Blocked grit inlet or excessive feed concentration.
Solution:
Check the grit inlet for blockage and remove debris;
Reduce the feed concentration.
4. Cyclone Blockage
Cause: Material mismatch or blockage of the feed/grit inlet. Solution:
Ensure the material matches the cyclone requirements;
Close the feed valve of the blocked cyclone and remove and clear the obstruction.
5. Unstable Performance
Cause: Uneven material distribution or blockage.
Solution:
Use the correct distributor;
Check and clear any blockages.
6. High Wear
Cause: Excessive flow, pressure drop, or abrasive feed material.
Solution:
Adjust the feed flow or pressure;
Replace wear-resistant materials (such as polyurethane or 316L stainless steel).
7. Large Operating Pressure Fluctuations
Cause: Pump or cyclone imbalance.
Solution:
Check the pump speed and cyclone balance;
Reset the pump speed or isolate the problematic cyclone.
8. Seal Failure
Cause: O-ring size mismatch, installation damage, or insufficient lubrication. Solution:
Select seal dimensions according to standards (compression ratio 10-30%);
Use blunt-tipped tools for installation to avoid scratching;
Apply silicone grease for lubrication.
9. Cracking of Stainless Steel Components
Cause: Stress corrosion or intergranular corrosion.
Solution:
Perform regular passivation treatment (such as pickling);
Avoid exposure to chloride ions;
Check for intergranular corrosion risks in high-temperature environments.
