Application of Paddle Dryer in Sludge

The wet sludge is pumped into the main dryer through the sludge pump, and the semi-dried sludge is sent into the secondary dryer through the discharge valve, after that, the dewatered sludge enters the incinerator for further processing, and the removed solid waste will be dumped , the steam coming out of the boiler is the heat source of the secondary dryer, and the superheated steam can be used as the heat source of the main dryer during purification. The steam and exhaust gas from the paddle dryer are condensed through the scrubber respectively, the condensate flowing out from the scrubber flows into the wastewater treatment plant, the residual gas is discharged through the blower blown into the incinerator, and the exhaust gas is discharged into the atmosphere after the exhaust gas purification and absorption process .

Using steam as the drying medium, the entire system operates in a closed loop. The exhaust gas from the secondary dryer can be used as a purification source for the primary dryer. In this way, latent heat can be recovered and reused, which significantly reduces steam consumption by 40% compared to conventional single-stage blade dryers.

Dewatered sludge can be used as fuel. In this way, the system can achieve self-balancing and save energy. This drying technology is a form of closed cycle. Small amounts of non-condensate can be returned to the incinerator and aid in combustion. Compared with traditional hot air drying methods, this method is environmentally friendly and has low emissivity. In addition, this method also reduces investment in waste gas treatment.
