A hydrocyclone separator is a highly efficient device for solid-liquid, liquid-liquid, or gas-liquid separation, designed based on the principle of centrifugal force. Under pressure, slurry enters the cylinder through a feed pipe along a tangential axis, where it undergoes rotational motion. Coarse particles (or those with higher density) in the slurry are drawn to the periphery of the cyclone by centrifugal force, flowing downward with the slurry flow and ultimately discharged from the bottom sand outlet as coarse sand. Fine particles, subject to less centrifugal force, are concentrated in the center of the cyclone and carried along the fluid flow over the top of the cylinder before being discharged through an overflow pipe as overflow.
